Starbucks in the morning

Some days I need a little extra coffee. I love taking the kids to Starbucks where we can all enjoy a tasty beverage (me=coffee, kids=OJ) and a fun time together (if Jackson's not too crazy that morning). ;)

Sharing

Most days these two play very well together. They have their moments, and I've found that just leaving them to figure it out works best, although I do have to step in at times. Jackson does not share well. He's not mean about it, just into the phase of everything is "Jackson's" and "Jackson's turn." Abigail, being the fabulous big sister she is, is very helpful at taking turns with him, teaching him how to act, and showing him what's appropriate. They were playing so well the other morning and taking turns so nicely with this puzzle I just had to get a picture. Gosh, I love these 2! :)

Mommy Friends

Over the last couple of years I have met some pretty fabulous ladies! They have been such support for me as I go through stuff with my kids, and some of them can relate to my husband's love affair with biking (one that I approve of, of course). ;) I'm so glad we have this group of people in our lives, and I look forward to our families growing up together. Here's a picture of 3 of us during our last girls night. Me, Megan, and Marie.

American girl lunch

My sister and her family came up this month for a late Christmas celebration. We gave Mary a gift card to the American girl store, so us ladies (my sister, Mary, Abigail and I) got to go check out the store and have a fabulous lunch together. :)
We have not purchased an American girl doll for Abigail and don't plan to for another couple of years, but she still had a fabulous time with Mary and an extra one of her dolls. It's pretty cool there I'd have to admit. I have a feeling we'll be spending a lot more time in that store as the years go on.

Potty Time

This is a typical morning in our house. Abigail uses the potty as she always does when she wakes up and Jackson is right there with her. I often catch them all giggles in the bathroom, who knows about what. ;)

Kiddo updates

I am so behind on posting, but I was inspired last night to post more. I have a book of the last couple years of our blog printed and I LOVE looking at it, and so does Abigail. I vowed last night to post more, even if it's just once a week.

Ok, so here it is; a post about our little guy. At 19 months Jackson is a fireball! Still as sweet and cuddly as ever, but man this little guy is stubborn. He's been known to throw a fit for 45 minutes straight...yep you read that right: 45 minutes straight. This he must get from his Daddy (the stubborn part, not the tantrum part).;) He weighs close to 28 pounds and is very strong. He is all boy and loves all things ruff and tumble. He's talkative, funny, and loves his big sister. Man, anything that girl does is the coolest thing ever--big sisters rock!

As for our darling girl; she is getting so big! She LOVES school and so excited to be in pre-k next year. She's smart, a good student, a rule follower, and the BEST big sister ever. I am constantly surprised at how much of a helper she is, a little mommy to her brother. Abigail has gained so much confidence being in preschool, and it's been wonderful to see her develop.

What a blessing these two are!!

A few postworthy moments

**Abigail was inquiring about why we donate food to people who don't have any while at the grocery store with Dad. She couldn't imagine that there are some people out there who don't have food or a place to live. Our sweet 4 year old was going to fix the problem by building a very big house so that everyone could come and sleep there. So simple in terms of a preschooler; I love that!

**This is is ever so small, but my sweet moment today: Me: Is brother ok (hearing his whine coming from her room while I'm in the hallway doing laundry)? Abigail: Oh yeah, he just didn't want his nose wiped. Yes, she grabbed a tissue and full on wiped her brothers very snotty nose, without hesitation. Love, love, love!

**The other day after a mid afternoon bath I was getting the kids ready in Abigail's room. She was putting on a dress for a party we were going to. Jackson REALLY wanted in on the action of dress up, picked up one of her dresses, and insisted on putting it on...with help of course. He was SO happy in her dress! I snapped a picture on my phone, one I think he'll appreciate his teenage years. :) What can I expect...he has a big sister.
